West Highland White Terrier

Originally bred to hunt and kill rats. They are very popular pets, active and playful they can sometimes be feisty and independent but they are also affectionate and loyal.
Alert dogs they make good watchdogs.
Affectionate and loyal towards owners and great with children if r
aised with them.
Friendly with strangers and other dogs if well socialised.

Grooming: Brush when necessary and clip regularly 
Average Height: 25-29 cms. 10-11 ins.
Average Weight: 7-10 kgs. 15-22 lbs.

Temperament: Affectionate, friendly an independent, good with children and other pets if raised with them
Exercise: Likes lots of exercise
Average Lifespan: 13-15 yrs.

Possible disadvantages.
Can bark excessively.
Some breed strains might be aggressive in status related situations.

May try to injure small pets, especially cats, if they are unfamiliar.
