Distinctive "spotty dog". Friendly, elegant,exhuberant and outgoing popular dog.

Suitable Owners

Energetic, active owner who enjoys long walks with their pet dog.
Origins

Originally from Croatia, in the Dalmatia region and often used decoratively to escort carriages.

Coat:

Short haired and sleek. Sheds hair.
Grooming:

Occasional brushing unless dog hair is a problem in your home.
Average Height:

56- 61 cms. 22-24 ins.
Average Weight:

23-25 kgs. 50-55 lbs. 
Colour:

Mostly white with dense black (occasionally liver} spots.
Temperament:

Exhuberant, friendly and outgoing dogs. Affectionate and devoted with owners, child friendly if socialised early. Can be quiet at home if exercised regularly.

 Exercise:

Needs lots of exercise acheived through long walks
Average Lifespan: 

12 yrs.
Possible Disadvantages

Can be boisterous which may be a problem around small children.
